Awesome accommodation, great location. Property Manager has outdone herself with everything catered for from games, books, basic consumable supplies. We had a family of 9 adults stay and we fitted in with ease. Would definitely stay at Shearwater again and highly recommend it to all. Thank you for making our Fraser Island holiday one to remember.

Such a great spot to stay for family groups. We loved the simplicity and the beautiful house.

Fantastic accommodation, very clean, lots of room, and heaps of cooking/meals plates cups cutlery etc. huge fridge/freezer capacity. Hot, hot showers, and relaxing lounge and outdoor area with gas bbq. For 8 fishermen, we appreciated the warm homely feeling at the end of each loooong day

Clean, neat and tidy. Very comfortable. Shearwater is a lovely place to stay and to reconnect or connect with those that stay with you. As long as the sun was out there was always somewhere to sit and warm yourself with a cuppa or a good book. There are numerous games and puzzles to play and laugh together after a long day adventuring on the island. It could get a little cold at night especially in the living space. However, once you were closed up and snuggled into bed, you were fine. Elspeth was nice, friendly and lovely to deal with. My family and I would definitely stay here again and hope to have the chance again in the future.

A great spot to stay on Fraser Island! Central to everything on the east side. The house has everything you need. Elspeth was great to deal with and was more than happy to accommodate an early check is for us as we were travelling with 3 young children. There care takers Pete and Ann we friendly and sorted out a new gas bottle for the BBQ as soon as we contacted them.

OMG! Where to start!Location location location!Extra amenities, port a cot for Bub, sand toys, floaters for creek and extremely well sourced cooking utensils, cutlery, coffee machine and more! So easy to get up, down or inland on island tracks and a great meal at the pub/convenience store just a very short stroll down the way. The 3 bathrooms and 3 toilets made sure no one was kept waiting and the car takers and host both amazingly wonderful to deal with! We are crossing our fingers the house will be available for next years trip (once we confirm the dates with all our travellers)

What a fabulous place to stay for cousins to catch up. The house was immaculate, well equipped and great for our spontaneous cousin catch up.

We had an amazing stay at the Shearwater property on Fraser Island. Everything was exactly as described, and the host’s communication was exceptional. The property is packed with fantastic features, perfect off-the-grid holiday home. The kids absolutely loved it, and we’re already planning to return. Highly recommend!

Thanks heaps for this lovely house to stay in with so many things for us kids to do. My dad caught a Kingfish at Kingfisher Bay…I loved Eli Creek but my fave place is everywhere. This place is so lovely that I am definitely going to come back again. I love Fraser Island. xoxo. And we found a swing on the sand dunes at Yidney Rocks.

Loved the house, upstairs has a bathroom, bar-fridge and private sitting area if someone needs extra space. Downstairs has everything you want and need. The place was easy to clean afterwards, everything was where we needed it to be. Plan your trip around the weather & tides, we did and had an amazing time.

Shearwater was a home away from home, so spacious, extremely well equipped, perfect location for a family/friends getaway. Highly recommended.

We stayed with two families of 4. There was plenty of space and everything we needed for our 4 night stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. We would love to stay again.

We had a lovely week staying at Shearwater. It is really well equipped and comfortable for a large group. The gas, solar and battery setup works a treat. We loved the extra touches like a small high chair, picnic plates and wine glasses, toys and games.

The house was fantastic. It was well equipped with everything you needed and more. The kitchen had more than enough utensils and pots pans ect. And the house was stocked with loads of board games. Great dinning area inside and outside by the bbq so nobody ever had to cook alone. Only a short 5 minute walk down to the beach was a treat, and the shops and pub 1 minute down the road. Thanks!
